Our paper in PLoS ONE has been just published

Hi folks!

Our paper on key ecoregions for the conservation of Neotropical frogs and toads, "Loyola RD, Becker CG, Kubota U, Haddad CFB, Fonseca CR & Lewinsohn TM (2008). Hung out to dry: choice of priority ecoregions for conserving threatened Neotropical Anurans Depends on Life-History Traits. PLoS ONE 3(5): e2120" has been published yesterday.

Since its publication we are receiving many cumpliments and comments. The paper has been also highlighted by the Brazilian press (see the papers O Estado de São Paulo, Folha de São Paulo, G1, and Ciência Hoje) and by specialized foreing press (see the Science Daily and EurekAlert!). Thanks so much for this!

Photo: Phyllomedusa ayeaye. This rare species occurs in open areas on shrubs near pools. The egg clutch is deposited on leaves above permanent flowing water, and when hatched the tadpoles fall into streams below. It is critically endangered mainly due to habitat degradation.
